ArchitectZaha Hadid(b. Baghdad, Iraq 1950) studied architecture at the Architectural Association from 1972, where she was awarded the Diploma Prize in 1977. Winner of the competition to design London¹s Olympic Aquatic Centre (above), her most renowned projects to date are the Vitra Fire Station, Weil am Rhein (1993); the Mind Zone at the Millennium Dome, London (1999); a Tram Station and Car Park, Strasbourg (2001); and the recently completed BMW Central Plant Building, Leipzig (2005).
